The insight process module is an add-on to the process client. It manages the acquisition of data from the process client and provides a series of Insight services to collect, search and retrieve data.
There are two flavours of the the Insight process module, depending on where the data is held.
- The Local store variant holds data within the module. It only supports a single client. It is only suitable for undemanding applications.
- The Insight Hub variant holds data on a data hub instance. It supports multiple clients. It is suitable for demanding applications.
Both of these flavours use the same group profiles to interact with the client system.
- The default group profile provides the Insight data collection process.
- The search folder group profile provides a standalone version of the Insight search process.
