Insight configuration

To install Insight with a local store, which can be installed into any account, use the installer at metrici.products.insight.install.

The rest of this section describes the configuration required for Insight Hub.

Setting up Insight Hub

Configure Insight Hub

Create a new data hub instance and configure it as described in Data hub configuration.

Install the Insight Hub module

Install the Insight Hub module using node reference metrici.products.insight.install_hub

Configure the connection to the data hub

Within the Insight Hub instance, go to the Data hub proxy within Advanced settings. On the Request tab, edit the url in the default section to identify your Insight Hub instance.

Connecting a client to the Insight Hub instance

Insight Hub is designed to be used from multiple clients, which can be in different account. A connection to the Insight Hub instance is required for each one.

Connect to the Insight Hub instance

Within you Insight Hub instance, create a new connection for the client, giving it the client account name. Use the Partner type. Switch off logging.

Download the connection file. Within the client's portal, go to Connections and use the connection wizard to make the connection. Switch off logging.

Check that the "config" role on the Insight Module connection group is set to the Insight Module (this should happen automatically).

Subscribe to documents and events

Within the process client, edit the Home group. In the advanced section, enter two publication rules both of which should go to the Insight Module group. The publication rules should be

*/document+
*/event+

This means "subscribe the Insight Module to all published events and documents".

You can apply this to a lower-level folder if you prefer, to limit the scope of the data captured.

In Settings/Folders, run Refresh all (for as many times as there are levels of folder).

Create a search folder

Within the process client, go to Settings and then Groups. Find the Insight Module group, and from that, select the "New search folder" option. This will create a new group which you can call "Search". Use the group edit to move this so that it has no parent, and it will appear as a top-level group.
